Are you ready to get back your Mojo?

Hi, from Joe Roe, The Mental Health Coach

I was so deeply inspired by my own mental health journey that I just knew; this was to be my passion and life.

Making a positive meaningful difference to others experiencing mental health, is what floats my boat.

My mental health journey has been a gift, and it is an absolute privilege to be a part of allowing others to regain and maintain mental health wealth; shifting you from chaos to calm and confident, living your happy life and getting back your mojo.

My Journey

I was alone, confused and frightened when the realisation slowly dawned on me that, for the second time, I was being held for months in a secure mental health psychiatric hospital ward.

As part of my bipolar, I was experiencing a major manic episode with psychosis, causing terrifying and euphoric hallucinations and delusions.

I had an amazing fiance, a supportive family, a great social life, a sound bill of health and was a successful, high acheiving manager.

Life was rosy, and yet I was losing touch with reality.

My job had started to create an unhealthy environment and relationships.

I was burning the candle at both ends; working long hours without breaks, partying and drinking to excess, not sleeping or eating well.

And then I lost my Dad and Step Parents to cancer.I was living in the fast lane, not allowing myself to stop and take care of myself.

I thought I was superwoman.

I started to become physically and mentally unwell. I was overwhelmed. I was stressed, worried and overthinking. I had what I now know is General Anxiety Disorder.

I was then diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I became bedridden overnight. This led to depression and my first Bipolar episode.

Coaching became a game changer for my own mental health and happiness.

It has allowed me to raise my own awareness and manage my own mental health. I’ve gained clarity and perspective. I have been able to tap into my values, recognise my strengths, build my confidence and change my own behaviours and patterns.

I became motivated, removed my self limiting beliefs and was able to put into action the many lasting coping strategies that would continue to keep me and my relationships healthy.

My mental health journey gave me a sense of purpose. I have leapt into my coaching career with a deep understanding of what coaching can do for you; I’ve been you!

I got back my Mojo!
